Eucomis 'Sparkling Burgundy'

Eucomis, aka Pineapple Lily, is an amazingly unique sun perennial with a tropical flair. Eucomis 'Sparkling Burgundy' first emerges with long, upright, sword-like foliage in a rich, deep purple hue. Leaves are thick and smooth in texture. Summer brings numerous, impressive 24" burgundy flower stalks with a bottle brush of baby pink flowers. This is a sturdy and unusual specimen plant for the garden or container, whose flowers would make a striking cut bouquet.
